2015 IPSO CHALLENGE SEMI-FINALISTS

WHAT IS THE IPSO CHALLENGE?

IPSO CHALLENGE is a global competition designed to highlight real world applications of the Internet Protocol (IP) in the Internet of Things. The IPSO Alliance asks entrepreneurs, makers, students, and professionals in the technology sector to show what is possible utilizing the IP and open standards in building the IoT by entering the IPSO Challenge.

The IPSO Alliance created the CHALLENGE to promote innovative concepts in interfaces, interactions, and applications utilizing IP sensor/control and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. Finalists and winners receive worldwide marketing exposure, mentorship, and support through IPSO’s network of leading industry experts.

“Each year the entries have demonstrated the vast potential for IP use in creating low cost, effective and secure products for the IoT," said IPSO Chairman Geoff Mulligan. "IPSO CHALLENGE contestants have shown us ways to improve energy conservation, simplify healthcare management, monitor the quality of drinking water, and much more. Vint Cerf, Chief Internet Evangelist of CHALLENGE Gold Sponsor Google added "We look forward to seeing what 2015 will bring.”

CHALLENGE contestants have the opportunity to win hardware/software kits from Development Sponsors: Atmel, Freescale/ARM, Micrium, Sigma Designs/Zwave, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments. Semi-finalists are then selected from entries across the globe by a panel of leading industry experts to build and demonstrate their prototypes to the judging panel.
