Jay Radcliffe

Senior Security Researcher | Rapid7

Keynote: Does More Connected Mean Less Secure? A Deep Dive into the Internet-of-Things for Medical Devices

Jay Radcliffe has been working in the computer security field for over fifteen years and is currently a Senior Security Consultant and researcher for Rapid7.

Coming from the managed security services industry, Jay has used just about every security device made over the last decade. Recently, Jay has presented ground-breaking research on security vulnerabilities in medical devices at Black Hat, B-Sides and other technology conferences. Having held an amateur radio license since the age of 12, Jay is equally comfortable hacking hardware and working a soldering iron as he is in front of a keyboard performing a penetration test. Jay holds a Masters degree in Information Security Engineering from SANS Technology Institute as well as a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Pre-Law from Wayne State University.

Nandini ( Nan) Nayak is a senior executive and thought leader for Fjord, Accenture Interactive’s Service Design and Innovation Practice.

Nan has spent much of her career on the creation of high performing digital experiences championing an analytical approach to design. She is passionate about the need to bring data and design disciplines closer together to drive innovation and value out of big data.

Gadi Amit is the founder and principal designer of San Francisco-based firm, NewDealDesign.

Working with Silicon Valley's top technology companies, Gadi has created some of the most iconic products, including FitBit, Lytro Camera and Google's new modular and 3D printed Ara phone. Today he's working with the best and the brightest tech firms to create new technologies that will come to light in the next 12 to 18 months.

Gadi's ability to lead extends beyond his design studio. Named a "Master of Design" by Fast Company in 2010 and the winner of the Cooper Hewitt Design Award in 2013, Gadi shares his passion for bucking technology trends and implementing beautiful design through international talks. He's presented on the future of sensors and wearables in healthcare at at SXSW and what 3D printing means for manufacturing in the U.S. at the Bloomberg Design conference.

Dr. Mike North, host of Discovery shows “Prototype This!" “Outrageous Acts of Science”, and "In The Making", fuses engineering and science with empathy and creativity, opening doors to new solutions, awe-inspiring experiences and radical paradigm shifts.

North runs his own skunkworks - North Design Labs - advises multiple companies, and is involved in several start-ups, educational programs and ongoing research.

Dr. North holds bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in engineering with focuses on mechanical design, rapid prototyping, and nanotechnology. He is passionately focused on creating systems for an equitable and sustainable planet, which he strives to do through his nonprofit, ReAllocate.
